Ο Χανκ είναι ένας περήφανος βετεράνος του Στρατού που πιστεύει στην υπηρεσία προς την πατρίδα και δεν έχει μετανιώσει που ο γιος του έχει ακολουθήσει τα βήματά του. Μια μέρα όμως λαμβάνει το τηλέφωνο που τρέμει κάθε πατέρας στρατιώτη: το τηλεφώνημα που τον ενημερώνει πως ο γιος του αγνοείται. Ο Χανκ αποφασίζει να ταξιδέψει στο Φορτ Ραντ και να ανακαλύψει τι συνέβη. Συνεργάζεται με την απρόθυμη αστυνόμο Έμιλι Σάντερς και μαζί θα έρθουν αντιμέτωποι με τη βαρβαρότητα και τα σκοτεινά μυστικά του σύγχρονου Στρατού.
