Ο Λέβλιν Μος, πέφτει κατά τύχη σε μία συναλλαγή ναρκωτικών που είχε άσχημη κατάληξη. Εκεί βρίσκει 2 εκατομμύρια δολάρια. Αποφασίζει να διώξει μακριά την γυναίκα και το παιδί του, ώστε να είναι ασφαλείς, όσο αυτός θα προσπαθεί να ξεγελάσει τους Μεξικάνους γκάνγκστερ που τον καταδιώκουν. Όμως στο κατόπι του βρίσκεται και ένας πολύ επικίνδυνος ψυχοπαθής, που έχει μία δικιά του έννοια δικαιοσύνης. Τα πράγματα περιπλέκονται όταν τα ίχνη του Μος, αρχίζει να ακολουθεί ένας σερίφης.
