Αμερική, αιώνες πριν τον ερχομό του Κολόμβου.Ο στρατός των Βίκινγκς φτάνει στην άγνωστη ήπειρο και ανοίγει ένα αιματηρό μονοπάτι μέσα της, καθώς προωθείται κερδίζοντας μάχες και συντρίβοντας τους ιθαγενείς. Ένα ναυάγιο, όμως αναγκάζει τους βάρβαρους Σκανδιναβούς να επιστρέψουν στη χώρα τους.Ένα μωρό που αφήνουν πίσω τους υιοθετείται από τους Ινδιάνους και μεγαλώνει για να γίνει ο Γκοστ, ο πιο γενναίος μαχητής όλων των εποχών.Όταν οι Βίκινγκς επιστρέψουν καταστρέφοντας το χωριό του, ο Γκοστ ορκίζεται εκδίκηση και αποφασίζει να τα βάλει μόνος του με τους αδίστακτους εισβολείς
