Ο Ντέιβιντ Γουόλς θα μπορούσε κάλλιστα να αποτελεί τη προσωποποίηση της τελειότητας. Είναι νέος, ωραίος με καλή δουλειά, έχει μια πανέμορφη αρραβωνιαστικιά και χαίρει άκρας υγείας. Όμως, σε ανύποπτη χρονική στιγμή, αυτό το σκηνικό θα ανατραπεί και ο Ντέιβιντ…θα βρεθεί προ εκπλήξεως! Η αγαπημένη του τον παρατάει σύξυλο και ενώ προσπαθεί να επουλώσει τις πληγές του, η τράπεζα την οποία διευθύνει, γίνεται στόχος ληστών. Ενώ η ψυχο-πνευματική υγεία του Ντέιβιντ αρχίζει να κλονίζεται, ο Ντέιβιντ συνειδητοποιεί ότι ο παράδεισος στο οποίο ζούσε μέχρι πρότινος, μόλις μετατράπηκε σε κόλαση…
