Φαινομενικά, οι ζωές τους είναι τέλειες. Έχουν τα πάντα, αλλά αυτό είναι μόνο επιφανειακό. Στην ουσία, οι σχέσεις τους με τα παιδιά τους και τους άντρες τους δεν είναι και τόσο καλές. Σκέφτονται πώς θα ήταν η ζωή τους αν δεν είχαν παντρευτεί, ενώ οι άντρες τους ξεπορτίζουν και τα παιδιά τους μπλέκουν σε ανήκουστες καταστάσεις.
Και ξαφνικά, αρχίζουν να συμβαίνουν πολύ περίεργα πράγματα στη γειτονιά. Φόνοι, αστυνομία, περίεργοι sexy γείτονες, πυρκαγιές και τα κουτσομπολιά δίνουν και παίρνουν. Οι ζωή τους ξαφνικά αποκτά νόημα, καθώς βγαίνουν διάφορα βρώμικα μυστικά στην επιφάνεια, μυστικά που όλες νόμιζαν ότι έκρυβαν καλά…
Όλα αυτά, σε συνδυασμό με την επιθυμία τους να έχουν μια ήσυχη ζωή, μακρυά από σχόλια, κουτσομπολιά, αστυνομία και νοσοκομεία. Όλοι ψάχνουν να βρουν το δρόμο προς την ευτυχία, τη δική τους και της οικογένειάς τους και πολλές φορές θα μπουν σε άσχημες ή παράνομες καταστάσεις, προκειμένου να τα καταφέρουν.
