Φανταστείτε μια πόλη όπου οι νόμοι υπάρχουν μόνο για να καταπατούνται. Μια διεφθαρμένη πόλη που μόνο ο ισχυρότερος έχει ελπίδες να επιβιώσει και που η βία έχει το πρώτο λόγο όταν τα σχέδια των κατοίκων της συγκρουστούν. Στο μέρος αυτό η ανθρώπινη ζωή δεν έχει καμία απολύτως αξία. Αυτή η πόλη έχει όνομα αντάξιο της φήμης της" Sin City. Στους σκοτεινούς της δρόμους διαδραματίζονται παράλληλα τρεις ιστορίες. Ο Hartigan, ίσως ο μόνος τίμιος αστυνομικός, προσπαθεί να σώσει ένα εντεκάχρονο κορίτσι από τα χέρια ενός παιδεραστή, του οποίου ο πατέρας τυγχάνει να είναι γερουσιαστής. Ο Marv είναι ένας πρώην κατάδικος που ζητά εκδίκηση για τη δολοφονία της γυναίκας με την οποία πέρασε τις μοναδικές όμορφες στιγμές της ζωής του. Ο Dwight προσπαθώντας να υπερασπιστεί την νέα του ερωμένη, καταλήγει να γίνει μάρτυρας του φόνου ενός διεφθαρμένου ντετέκτιβ από τις λεγόμενες ΑκοπέλεςΑ της πόλης. Εκείνος έχοντας σχέσεις μαζί τους από το παρελθόν, θα προσπαθήσει να καλύψει τη δολοφονία προκειμένου να μην επέλθει ρήξη στη σιωπηρή συμφωνία που διατηρούν οι αστυνομικοί με τις ΑκοπέλεςΑ. Το τι θα επακολουθήσει πρόκειται να επηρεάσει τις τύχες πολλών και να τερματίσει τις ζωές ακόμα περισσοτέρων"
