Οι κάτοικοι μιας μικρής πόλης συλλαμβάνουν έναν περιβόητο ληστή, τον οποίο οφείλουν να οδηγήσουν στη Γιούμα προκειμένου να δικαστεί. Όντας βέβαιοι ότι η υπόλοιπη συμμορία θα τους επιτεθεί και θα τον ελευθερώσει, τον κρύβουν προσωρινά στο σπίτι ενός κτηνοτρόφου έως ότου τον οδηγήσουν στον κοντινό σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό, όπου θα περιμένουν το τρένο των 3:10.
