O Blade, ο σκοτεινός ήρωας κόμικ της Marvel, είναι μισός άνθρωπος μισός βαμπίρ. Στην τρίτη περιπέτειά του βρίσκεται θύμα μιας σκευωρίας, στημένης από τη φυλή των βρικολάκων, κατηγορούμενος για τους θανάτους αθώων ανθρώπων.
Την ίδια στιγμή τα βαμπίρ έχουν καταφέρει να αποκτήσουν θέσεις στα ανώτερα κοινωνικά στρώματα. Καθοριστική είναι η βοήθεια που δίνει ο Κόμης Δράκουλας, τον οποίο έφεραν στη ζωή οι αρχηγοί των βρικολάκων. Ο Δράκουλας μπορεί πλέον να αλλάζει πρόσωπα και να αντέχει το φως του ήλιου.
Για να καταφέρει ο Βlade να ξεφύγει από τους διώκτες του και να κατατροπώσει τα βαμπίρ, θα χρειαστεί τη βοήθεια των Nightstrokers. Πρόκειται για μια ομάδα κυνηγών βρικολάκων με εξελιγμένο οπλοστάσιο.
