Ο Henry Roth ζει και εργάζεται σε ζωολογικό κήπο στη Hawaii. Αγαπημένο του hobby είναι να γνωρίζει τουρίστριες, να τις «ρίχνει» χρησιμοποιώντας αριστoτεχνικούς τρόπους, και είναι χαρούμενος που μετά το one-night-stand δεν χρειάζεται να τις ξαναδεί. Ξαφνικά θα συναντήσει γοητευτική ξανθιά που θα τον κάνει να κολλήσει καθώς και να παραβεί τον κανόνα του περί μη σχέσεων με ντόπιες. Με τη Lucy θα κανονίσουν να ξανασυναντηθούν την επόμενη μέρα όπου μια δυσάρεστη έκπληξη θα περιμένει τον Henry: εκείνη δεν τον θυμάται! Ψάχνοντας θα ανακαλύψει πως η Lucy πάσχει από «short memory lapse» και ο εγκέφαλός της έχει «κολλήσει» σε μια μέρα που ζει ξανά και ξανά...και ξανά. Θα καταφέρει ο Henry να διεκδικήσει μια σχέση που αντιμετωπίζει ένα τόσο σοβαρό πρόβλημα; Ο μόνος τρόπος είναι να την διεκδικεί και να προσπαθεί να την ξανακερδίζει κάθε μέρα από την αρχή...
