Ο Μπαρτ είναι ένας αδίστακτος μαφιόζος που αντιμετωπίζει τον Danny ως το πιστό του «σκυλί» και μέσω αυτού τρομοκρατεί τους πάντες. Ο Danny που έχει ανατραφεί κατ’ αυτόν τον τρόπο από τον Μπαρτ δεν ξέρει να είναι τίποτε άλλο εκτός από φονική μηχανή που υπηρετεί τυφλά τον αφέντη του. Κάποια στιγμή θα συναντήσει έναν τυφλό πιανίστα και την κόρη του που θα του συμπεριφερθούν ανθρωπινά. Τότε ο Danny θα αρχίσει να μεταμορφώνεται και να ανακαλύπτει ξαφνικά τον ψυχικό του κόσμο και τις ισορροπίες του. Προβλήματα θα ξεπροβάλλουν όταν ο Μπαρτ αρχίσει να αναζητά τον Danny, και ο Danny αρχίσει να ανακαλεί στην μνήμη του γεγονότα του παρελθόντος που τον εξοργίζουν.
