Για τον 5χρονο Τζακ, το δωμάτιο αυτό είναι ολόκληρος ο κόσμος. Εδώ γεννήθηκε κι εδώ αυτός και η «Μα» τρώνε, κοιμούνται, παίζουν, μαθαίνουν. Αλλά για τη Μα αυτό το δωμάτιο είναι μια φυλακή, στην οποία υποχρεούται να παραμένει επί 7 χρόνια από τα 19 της, από τη στιγμή που την απήγαγε ο Νικ.
