Ο Βιν Ντίζελ αναλαμβάνει ξανά το ρόλο του ως ο κυνηγημένος δραπέτης Riddick, ο αντι-ηρωικός χαρακτήρας από την cult ταινία Pitch Black. Δραπετεύοντας από μισθοφόρους που προσπαθούν να τον σκοτώσουν για να πάρουν αμοιβή, βρίσκεται στην καρδιά μιας μάχης που δεν είναι δική του. Με τους κατακτητές Necromonger ν'απειλούν το μέλλον ολόκληρου του πλανήτη, ο Riddick θα είναι ο μοναδικός που μπορεί να σώσει το ανθρώπινο είδος.
