Ο Σων Βέτερ και ο συνεργάτης του, Ντιμίτριους Χικς, ανήκουν στο τμήμα Δίωξης Ναρκωτικών της Καλιφόρνια και αποστολή τους είναι η εξάρθρωση του κυκλώματος διακίνησης ναρκωτικών, στα σύνορα μεταξύ ΗΠΑ και Μεξικού!Σε μια αιφνιδιαστική έρευνα, συλλαμβάνουν έναν από τους αρχηγούς του παράνομου καρτέλ ναρκωτικών, τον Λουτσέρο, όμως ένας επικίνδυνος εγκληματίας με το ψευδώνυμο El Diablo παίρνει τη θέση του. Όταν η γυναίκα του Βέτερ σκοτώνεται σε μια αποτυχημένη ενέδρα του Diablo, o Βέτερ ορκίζεται να πάρει εκδίκηση, ακροβατώντας επικίνδυνα ανάμεσα στη δικαιοσύνη και την αυτοδικία, ακόμη και αν αυτό τον φέρνει σε σύγκρουση με την ίδια την Αστυνομία, στην οποία έχει αφιερώσει τη ζωή του!
