Το φαινόμενο Matrix των αδελφών Γουακόφσκι, η πρώτη σεναριακά καινοτομική ιδέα που συνδύασε την περιπέτεια με το animation, την εικονική πραγματικότητα με το μεγαλείο των ειδικών εφφέ, την εκτίναξη της αδρεναλίνης στα ύψη, το παιχνίδι της ψυχολογίας και του μυαλού του θεατή, φτάνει αισίως στο τέλος του.Δηλώνοντας και οι δύο λάτρεις της Japanimation, το kung fu και των οπτικών εφφέ, κατάφεραν να συνδυάσουν τα καλύτερα στοιχεία τους ενώνοντας τόσο το action όσο και το sci-fi σύμπαν σε μια δυναμική και σχεδόν μυθολογική εξιστόρηση ενός νέου τρισδιάστατου κόσμου.Τα εξοντωτικά γυρίσματα ανάγκασαν τους βασικούς πρωταγωνιστές, τον Keanu Reeves, τον Lawrence Fishburne, τον Hugo Weaving και την Carrie-Anne Moss, να βελτιώσουν τη φυσική τους κατάσταση με το να εκπαιδευτούν εντατικά επί 8 μήνες στις πολεμικές τέχνες, ώστε οι πρωτοποριακές σκηνές δράσης και τα οπτικά εφφέ, να έχουν μια μοναδική ο...
