Η Τζιλ Πάρις επιστρέφει στο σπίτι της έπειτα από τη νυχτερινή της βάρδια και ανακαλύπτει πως η αδελφή της έχει εξαφανιστεί. Η ίδια η Τζιλ υπήρξε θύμα απαγωγής στο παρελθόν ενός serial-killer, απ’ τον οποίο όμως κατέφερε να ξεφύγει, και πιστεύει πως η αδελφή της έχει πέσει θύμα του ίδιου δολοφόνου. Αναφέρει την εξαφάνιση στην αστυνομία, αλλά κανείς δεν την πιστεύει. Η Τζιλ έχει λίγες ώρες μπροστά της μέχρι το ξημέρωμα, για να βρει την αδελφή της ζωντανή.
