Ο Οντ Τόμας είναι ένας μάγειρας σε φαστ-φουντάδικο μιας μικρής πόλης της πόλης της Καλιφόρνιας, καταμεσής της ερήμου. Η συνηθισμένη του ζωή έρχεται σε αντιπαραβολή με το εξαιρετικό του χάρισμα, να επικοινωνεί με τους νεκρούς. Όταν μια σκοτεινή απειλή ετοιμάζεται να προκαλέσει μια μαζική καταστροφή, ο Οντ πρέπει να βάλει κάτω τα σιωπηλά στοιχεία που παίρνει από τους νεκρούς και να αποτρέψει το κακό.
