Ο Ντέιβ και η Όμπρεϊ έρχονται από διαφορετικά σχολεία, αλλά και οι δύο επιζητούν κάτι κοινό: μια σχέση που θα τους προσφέρει κάτι που δεν έχουν ήδη. Αυτό για τον Ντέιβ σημαίνει μια κοπέλα που δεν πιάνεται, ενώ για την Όμπρεϊ ένας άντρας που θα υποστηρίξει τα όνειρα και τις φιλοδοξίες της. Όταν από τύχη γνωρίζονται σε ένα πάρτι, και οι δύο νιώθουν όπως ποτέ πριν. Το επόμενο 48ωρο της ζωής τους θα τους κάνει να νιώσουν συναισθήματα εφορίας και θα τους συνεπάρει καθώς ο ένας πέφτει στην αγκαλιά του άλλου.
