ο Falling Skies είναι μια επερχόμενη δραματική αμερικανική τηλεοπτική σειρά επιστημονικής φαντασίας που θα κάνει πρεμιέρα στις 19 Ιουνίου 2011 στις ΗΠΑ με ένα δίωρο επεισόδιο(ουσιαστικά θα είναι δύο σε ένα). Η παραγωγή είναι των εταιριών Dreamworks Television και Invasion Production και θα βγει στους τηλεοπτικούς δέκτες από το TNT. Στην παραγωγή συμμετέχει ο Στήβεν Σπίλμπεργκ γεγονός που από μόνο του είναι ελπιδοφόρο για το τελικό παραγόμενο τηλεοπτικό προϊόν. Τα γυρίσματα γίνονται στο Οντάριο του Καναδά και η πρώτη σαιζόν θα αποτελείται από 10 επεισόδια.

Στο Falling Skies, βλέπουμε ότι η Γη δέχεται επίθεση εξωγήινων και όσοι άνθρωποι επιζούν από την αρχική επίθεση προσπαθούν να οργανωθούν για να μπορέσουν να αντεπιτεθούν. Στην αντεπίθεση αυτή πρωτοστατεί μια ομάδα με την επωνυμία "2nd Mass"(συντομογραφία της λέξης Μασσαχουσέττη), με αρχηγό τον Τομ Μάσον (Noah Wyle), ένα καθηγητή ιστορίας από το Κέιμπριτζ. Ο Μάσον του οποίου η γυναίκα πέθανε κατά την επίθεση των εισβολέων, ψάχνει να βρει το μικρό του γιο ο οποίος έχει απαχθεί από τους εξωγήινους, ενώ προσπαθεί να προστατεύσει τα άλλα δύο μεγαλύτερα παιδιά του . Οι γνώσεις του στις τακτικές πολέμου που έχει διδαχθεί εξαιτίας του επαγγέλματός του θα δοκιμαστούν στην πράξη απέναντι στους εισβολείς.
