Η παλιά κόντρα μεταξύ ανθρώπων και γιγάντων βγαίνει και πάλι στην επιφάνεια όταν ο νεαρός αγρότης Jack ανοίγει κατά λάθος την πύλη που χωρίζει τους δύο κόσμους. Με το που ξαναπατούν το πόδι τους στη γη, μετά από αιώνες, οι γίγαντες διεκδικούν εκ νέου όσα κάποτε ήταν δικά τους, αναγκάζοντας τον Jack να παλέψει μέχρι τέλους για να τους σταματήσει. Ο Jack πολεμάει για το βασίλειο και τους ανθρώπους του, αλλά και για την καρδιά μίας γενναίας πριγκίπισσας. Και έρχεται αντιμέτωπος με γιγαντιαίους πολεμιστές, μπαίνοντας σε μία μάχη που θα κάνει και τον ίδιο θρύλο.
