Μια ομάδα έξι άριστα εκπαιδευμένων μισθοφόρων, γνωστή ως "The Expendables", προσλαμβάνεται από τον μυστηριώδη κύριο Τσερτς, με σκοπό να ανατρέψει τον δικτάτορα ενός νησιού, που βρίσκεται κοντά στη Βραζιλία. Στο κατόπι τους όμως βρίσκονται ένας πράκτορας της CIA, ο ψυχωτικός σωματοφύλακάς του και ένα πρώην μέλος της ομάδας που αναζητά εκδίκηση.
