Ο κάπτεν Τζακ Σπάροου μπλέκει σε νέες περιπέτειες, όταν συναντά την Αντζέλικα, μια γυναίκα από το σκοτεινό παρελθόν του. Σαστισμένος από την αναπάντεχη επανεμφάνιση της στη ζωή του, κι ενώ προσπαθεί να καταλάβει αν εκείνο που την τράβηξε κοντά του είναι η… ακαταμάχητη γοητεία του ή η σφοδρή της επιθυμία να ανακαλύψει την θρυλική Πηγή της Αιώνιας Νεότητας, ο Τζακ καταλήγει αιχμάλωτος του φοβερού και τρομερού Μαυρογένη, του κουρσάρου που τρέμουν όλοι οι πειρατές! Στα μάτια του Τζακ, ωστόσο, η πανούργα Αντζέλικα φαντάζει πολύ πιο επικίνδυνη από τον διαβόητο αρχιπειρατή.
