Πέντε φίλοι αποφασίζουν να περάσουν ένα σαββατοκύριακο σε μια απομακρυσμένη καλύβα στη μέση του πουθενά. Τελικά όμως βρίσκουν περισσότερα από όσα περίμεναν και όλοι μαζί θα πρέπει να αναζητήσουν την αλήθεια που κρύβεται πίσω από το μυστηριώδες δάσος και το σαδιστικό πείραμα στο οποίο φαίνεται ότι συμμετέχουν παρά τη θέλησή τους. Η ξεπεταγμένη, ο αθλητής, ο μπαφάκιας, ο κουλτουριάρης και η παρθένα αποτελούν αδιαμφισβήτητα τους χαρακτηριστικούς τύπους κολεγιόπαιδων μιας κλασσικής αμερικάνικης splatter movie. Η ανέμελη εκδρομή στο δάσος που εξελίσσεται σε ανεξέλεγκτο bloodbath είναι η σεναριακή βάση που οι λάτρεις των horror movies μισούμε να αγαπάμε. Ειδικά όταν σε όλο αυτό το πανηγύρι προστίθεται και μια hi - tech παρακολούθηση τύπου Big Brother, δεν μπορούμε παρά να είμαστε πεπεισμένοι ότι όλα θα κυλήσουν όπως αρμόζει, δηλαδή με ντελιριακά ξεκοιλιάσματα, συνοδευόμενα από τις πρέπουσες παροξυςμικές κραυγές.
