Ο Γκρίφιν Κέις λατρεύει τη δουλειά του στον ζωολογικό κήπο του Φράνκλιν Παρκ, όπου καθημερινά καταπιάνεται με τη φροντίδα των άγριων ζώων. Ωστόσο, όταν συνειδητοποιεί πως βρισκόμενος στη συγκεκριμένη θέση πολύ δύσκολα θα καταφέρει να έχει στο πλευρό του μια γυναίκα όπως τη Στέφανι, με την οποία εξακολουθεί να είναι ερωτευμένος, αποφασίζει να τα παρατήσει και να ασχοληθεί με την πώληση πολυτελών αυτοκινήτων. Αυτό, ωστόσο, δεν αρέσει καθόλου στα ζώα του κήπου, τα οποία, απολύτως ικανοποιημένα από τις περιποιήσεις του, αποφασίσουν να κάνουν τα αδύνατα δυνατά, προκειμένου να τον κρατήσουν κοντά τους. Μόνο που για να τα καταφέρουν, θα αναγκαστούν να παραβούν για πρώτη φορά τον κώδικα τιμής τους και να του αποκαλύψουν το μεγάλο τους μυστικό: στην πραγματικότητα άπαντες οι εκπρόσωποι του ζωικού βασιλείου μπορούν να συνεννοηθούν μια χαρά με τους ανθρώπους και μάλιστα… στη γλώσσα τους!
