Μία απόπειρα δολοφονίας της γερουσιαστή Amidala, φέρνει κοντά παλιούς γνώριμους, καθώς ο Obi-Wan Kenobi και ο Anakin Skywalker αναλαμβάνουν να την προστατέψουν. Μία δεύτερη απόπειρα, οδηγεί τους δύο Jedi σε νέα στοιχεία. Έτσι ο Obi-Wan αναλαμβάνει να πάει στον πλανήτη Camino, όπου ανακαλύπτει ότι ένας στρατός δημιουργείται για την Δημοκρατία, χωρίς κανείς να το γνωρίζει, ενώ ο Anakin θα συνοδεύσει την Amidala στον πλανήτη της, για την ασφάλειά της. Στην αναζήτησή του, ο Obi-Wan θα φτάσει στον πλανήτη Geonosis. Ο Anakin, στο μεταξύ, πηγαίνει, με την Amidala, στον Tatooine, καθώς τον ταλαιπωρούν εφιάλτες που έχουν να κάνουν με την μητέρα του, την οποία και θα βρει ετοιμοθάνατη, ενώ την ίδια στιγμή ο Obi-Wan συλλαμβάνεται. Παρακούοντας τις εντολές, οι δύο νέοι σπεύδουν να τον σώσουν και πιάνονται και αυτοί αιχμάλωτοι του Κόμη Dooku, στον πλανήτη Geonosis. Τα πράγματα είναι ιδιαίτερα κρίσιμα για την Δημοκρατία, καθώς η συνομωσία του Κόμη Dooku παίρνει τεράστιες διαστάσεις.
