Αφού καθάρισε επιτυχώς την Ντοτζ Σίτυ, ο σερίφης Γουάιατ Ερπ πηγαίνει στην Τόμπστοουν της Αριζόνα, ελπίζοντας να βρει ηρεμία. Εκεί θα βρει τα αδέλφια του και τον παλιό του φίλο, Ντοκ Χόλιντεϊ. Στην περιοχή, όμως, υπάρχει μια συμμορία που δημιουργεί πολλά προβλήματα και γρήγορα βρίσκονται σε κόντρα με την οικογένεια του Ερπ. Η μάχη που θα ακολουθήσει έχει μείνει στην ιστορία.
